Faculty member Kenneth Price has earned the Julian P. Boyd Award from the Association for Documentary Editing (ADE) to honor “distinguished contributions to the study of American history and culture.”
The award committee recognized his years of service to the ADE, contributions to American historical and cultural scholarship, and dedication to teaching and mentoring.
Price is Hillegass University Professor of American Literature in the Department of English, co-director of the Walt Whitman Archive, and co-director of the Charles W. Chesnutt Archive.
The ADE was created in 1978 to promote documentary editing by creating a forum of cooperation and idea exchange among editors and setting standards. Established in 1980, the award commemorates Julian Boyd’s commitment to excellence and the breadth of his scholarly interests.
The department is part of the College of Arts and Sciences. Read more about Price's achievements on Nebraska Today here and here.
