Ready to dive into the world of mead? ???? Our workshop offers a fun and interactive experience perfect for small-scale mead making enthusiasts. Learn hands-on, meet fellow mead lovers, and create something sweet together! ????

This course is offered on Saturday, November 16th, 2024 from 10am-4pm by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Bee Lab through the Great Plains Master Beekeeping Program. The cost for this class is $40 per person. Registration must be complete by 09 November 2024. The course will be located at Kimmel Orchard in Nebraska City.

Nebraska Warrior Writers - Lincoln

In the autumn of 2014, Humanities Nebraska, the Nebraska Writing Project, and the Veterans Administration partnered to launch a new writing program aimed at veterans and active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families or support partners. Participants need only be interested in writing in any form—they do not need to have any previous writing experience to benefit from the workshops.

From ‘Sake’ to Whiskey

Join us for a “Sake” lecture with Ikuho Amano at 2 p.m. Nov. 19 in the Kawasaki Reading Room to learn how whiskey transitioned from Sake (rice wine) in Japan. This will be followed by a tasting of Amazake, a sweet, non-alcoholic drink made from fermented rice. The Kawasaki Reading Room is Room 301 of the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center.

‘Rendezvous …’ art exhibition

“Rendezvous …” features a variety of works reflecting encounters with the Works of the Creator, Schroeder’s family’s heritage in Northern Wyoming rooted in the early 1900s, the timeless spirit of a rural Nebraska County Fair and the magic of the holidays.

Nebraska 4-H Visual Arts exhibit

An art exhibition, featuring 4-H’ers artwork selected from over 600 entries at the Nebraska State Fair.
