Abraham Kedong Ali is a poet and PhD student in Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he previously earned an M.A. in Creative Writing. He also holds an M.A. in English and Literary Studies from the University of Jos, a B.A. in English Literature from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers’ Institute. His poetry explores memory, family, loss, displacement, conflict, and belonging, with a particular interest in the illusion of absence, silence, void, and space and in how what is missing or unsaid can become a powerful presence.

Abraham is a creative writing coach and facilitator with Narrative 4 and the founder of Universal Film and Literary Hub, which promotes reading and creative writing among young people. His work has appeared in Isele Quarterly Magazine, Streetlight Magazine, The Shallow Tales Review, Libretto Magazine, and Prolific Pulse Press LLC, among other publications. His short story “Enigma” was shortlisted for the 2012 Garden City Literary Festival in Nigeria. As a writer, teacher, and scholar, Abraham is interested in how literature gives form to what is absent, silenced, or difficult to name—and how stories can create space for voices that might otherwise remain unheard.
