Alexandra Bissell is a Lecturer and graduate of the English Department's doctoral program with a specialization in Literary & Cultural Studies. She received the 2024 Robert L. Hough Graduate Teaching Award in Literature. Both her teaching and scholarship are rooted in interdisciplinarity and connection, with interests ranging from the bridge between composition and literature pedagogies, mental health in academia, and affect theory to poetry/poetics, gender & sexuality studies, and American literature of the long twentieth-century.
