Kayla Borchers is a master's student in Composition and Rhetoric. She earned her BA in History and English, with a minor in Museum Studies from South Dakota State University. Her research interests include publishing marketing, the rhetoric of sex, desire, and shame in media, and the phenomenon of explicitly romantic books on BookTok and its impact on new generations of readers and women. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and playing Magic the Gathering with her friends.
