Lénora Kergal (she/her) is a Ph.D. student in English Literature, with a focus on critical theory and postcolonial studies. In 2023, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship as a Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) in New York. Her research explores the intersection of Native American literature with the Gothic, using that literary genre to reveal the violence of the colonial project and Western impulses of power. She also analyzes how Native American communities negotiate their identities and envision new forms of autonomy within a postcolonial context.
