Travis Cohen Acosta is a Cuban American author and poet born and raised in Miami, Florida. He is a graduate of the M.F.A. program at Florida International University and is currently a Ph.D. student in English with a focus in Creative Writing (fiction) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His work has appeared in Permafrost, Litbreak Magazine, Every Day Fiction, and elsewhere, and is forthcoming in The South Dakota Review, The Sonora Review, and Slag Glass City. His research and literary interests include exilio and diaspora writing, addiction and generational trauma, hybrid and cross genre works, and the varied social, cultural, and emotional definitions of home.
